Update 2.3
General Notes
- College essays and essays from non-English class essays will no longer be accepted!
- A settings page has been added
- Users have the option to export the essays they have submitted or edited
- Requests can now be submitted anonymously (Instructions are in the submit request page)
Strikes
- Writing Center directors can assign strikes to all accounts
- Users will be notified of any new strikes by email
- Accounts with three or more strikes will be suspended
- Users with strikes will have a special tab in the settings page
Editor-Specific Changes
- The settings page holds a form for ARISTA and Stuyvesant Red Cross
- Essays edited in previous terms have been moved to the Archive tab
- You can still request feedback (as long as the mentee has not graduated), but will not recieve hours
- The report button now has the option of providing different reasons
- All editors will be notified when there is an essay that is due in the next 24 hours
Note to Alumni
- Alumni accounts have been archived and will no longer be able to submit or edit essays
- Archives and statistics remain viewable from editor accounts, but will not appear on the leaderboard
- Previously submitted essays will remain in the mentee dashboard
- You can no longer perform any actions on these essays (e.g. Provide Feedback or Follow Up)
Bug Fixes / Minor Changes
- Due dates and the in-person option are now properly displayed when editing requests
Update 2.2
General Notes
- Mobile support and favicon have been added for all web pages
- Email sending speeds (and page load time) have been decreased
- Account details can be saved between sessions
- Request completion form has been updated
Note to Editors
- On mobile, swipe or click on the circles to swap between requests
Update 2.1
General Notes
- Login and sign up buttons have been moved to the upper right
- A password reset functionality has been added to the login page
- Mentees are now notified when an editor unselects their request
- Account creation now requires password confirmation
Editor-Specific Changes
- All editors can access the mentee dashboard from their account to submit their own requests
- Should editors have both a mentee and editor account from before the update, the login credentials have been taken from the editor account
- Editors should be able to view feedback mentees provide about their edits on the editor dashboard (From after Update 2.1)
Bug Fixes / Minor Changes
- There should be no discrepencies with time zones
(All issues from before the update will be preserved.)
- The course catalog should be up to date
